Agent hung up on me

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

At 9: 35 CST 8/1/18, I made a call to Synchrony Bank for my Care Credit Card. I have two accounts.

I asked the agent, "ROGER", to pull up the account that has a balance on it. He asked me a question and when I replied with a question, he disconnected the call!! It was not accidentally dropped.

This is the 3rd time I've had terrible assistance from foreign agents! To the first time the agent was barely able to speak English, much less understand it.

I've had bills past due because I couldn't get assistance.

If I could cancel my acct, I would. I will surely let my hundreds of my social media contacts know to run the other way when the name Care/Synchrony comes up!

Your computer voice is not my friend, STOP trying!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Everytime I call to make a payment, I end up having to call up to 5 times in order to complete the transaction. The computer voice talks TOO MUCH!!!!! her voice is grating and the tones that go up and down could *** off the most calm person. No other creditor of mine takes as long to make a payment as this miserable excuse of a bank!!! I DO NOT want to store my bank information on your website. Amazon has plenty of money to allow for designing a website that will allow consumers to make a one-time payment online without storing our bank information. Enough is enough!!! Each time I call, the computer voice went through different scenarios to finally get me into the whole to make a payment. Why ask consumers to say "yes" or "no" after each prompt? This is idiotic, takes too much time because if you do not respond yes or no in a drone voice, the computer voice goes in a different direction through the flow chart. I'm likely to cancel all accounts that have anything to do with synchrony bank. They are not as synchronized as they may think they are. Dealing with them is an absolutely miserable experience!

Worst customer service ever card cancelled - lack of use.!!!

I applied and received the CareCredit card a little over a year ago in July 2017. I applied for this card because I knew my two dogs would have significant vet bills in the upcoming year. On the 27th of July 2018 I received a notice from Credit Karma that my card has been cancelled. I promptly called customer service and was informed that my card was cancelled because I had not charged anything. They said it was to cover their costs because there is no annual fee for the credit card. I informed them that I got this card in anticipation of upcoming expense next year. Ironically at the time I applied I called the company and discussed my name's in detail and they assured me to go ahead and apply in the card would be there when I needed it the following year. Thus, this current action isextremely unfair since it contradicts the statements that the card would be available the next year when I needed it. In addition, they did not inform me at any time after that initial conversation that I now had a new deadline for using the card and had to use it on a frequency basis, they didn't send me any type of notice that I needed to use-it-or-lose-it by their self imposed deadline. Ironically they could reach out to me with promotional literature after promotional literature four other products. Customer service was rude, snarky, snippy, disrespectful and basically said that was the way it is they can't reactivate the card. I was told that the only way that I could use a card is if I reapplied and was accepted. Well this is crazy I pay all my bills on time I have no negative reports on my credit report yet I was canceled. Thank goodness I found this website because I will not recommend this card I will not be doing any business with this card company. And most of all I am posting this with every University, physician, Veterinary Clinic and dental office where they are offering this service to people. I am writing every provider and state agency in Minnesota an official letter of complaint to let them know don't offer it to your customers without directing their customers to read and research Care Credit customer service records.

"And most of all I am posting " Most everyone knows you have to use a credit card to keep it. If you don't, they'll lower your limit and/or close you down and move your credit to someone who will make money.

They aren't here to boost credit or be an emergency fund. They're here to make money.

That's it. You can keep posting all you want and enabling other lames or you can Google "why was my credit card closed?" Take this as a chance to learn and not ask if I work for (insert company)?

I had a $4,000.00 credit line with Ashley that was increased as I always paid within 12 months for promotional interest free purchases. As soon as I got my balance low, they start lowering my limit which messes with my FICO score. I lost my job and wasn't able to pay in full this year. They added over $700.00 in finance charges. I called for a breakdown but they can't provide it. They also have Walmart, Amazon and many others. I'm paying these off as soon as I can and will no longer do business with Synchrony Bank.

Pro-Tip: They don't make money on people who don't pay interest. Of course they lowered you limit.

They only have so much credit to spread around. If you're not making them money, they're sending your limit to someone else.

If you missed paying during a promo period and need back up, pull out the paper or whatever you used to accept this note read the terms including the interest rate and you'll have your breakdown there. As you mentioned other cards, they probably see you have a lot of CC debt which could be another reason they lowered your limit.

I understand that sales job help them pay their bills, but I am a single mother paying her bills alone, do not have to lied to so some can get paid. Maybe it's just business to them, but trust I'm giving to my God, and he will deal with who ever did me wrong accordingly.

I paid off my Living Spaces account in early 2018 immediately after finding out that the company had added back interest for the entire zero interest promotional period, which I was not aware was their practice. The company sets up the minimum monthly payments so that you do not pay off the loan amount within the promotional period and are left with a balance which results in you getting charged for the entire period of interest that you had the loan.

I disputed this within the same month and was able to pay off with interest reduced, however notified them after doing some research on my Care Credit accounts that I should have been part of the class refunded by the Consumer Protection Agency for deceptive practices. I have a two Care Credit accounts which have been on automatic payments for years and balances were not going down. I elevated this issue three times and asked why I was omitted from the class when the years I had these accounts were in the period the class was awarded. I received a letter back that was extremely vague citing they met their criteria.

In early May, I elevated again and am currently waiting for an update. In May 2018 my Living Spaces cars which had 100% payments on time was closed at their request. This has impacted my credit report.

I firmly believe this is a result of my disputing their shady. Isomers practices and will contact the Consumer Protection Agency to file formal complaint.

Horrible company. Thanks for sharing.

They have negatively impacted my credit score as well after I've had a perfect credit history with them. They abruptly lowered my credit limits and closed my Old Navy account after I paid it off.

I know someone has to be paying attention to this. There are too many people having the same problems with this bank.

There are too many people who are relying on credit utilization to boost their credit scores. Do not base your credit on one off store cards, not use them and hope for the best.If you and others want to know why this is happening and why it's legal, Google why was my credit card closed or something like that.IF an Old Navy card being shut down messed up your score, there's probably other things going on in your jacket.

Synchrony issued me a check for the $81

Original review Jul 02, 2018
i was a loyal customer since 2010 until recently when i noticed they changed banks and enforced new rules and fees. I recently had a monthly statement balance of $32.

The min payment was $29 which seemed odd as it was more than 90% of the balance. I stopped using my card and was going to pay my balance on the due date. When i logged in, i was shocked to see my balance of $32 was now $81. Synchrony added on a late fee plus interest charges $49 in extra charges!

When i contacted their customer service, they didn't have answers. They told me "thats the way it is". When, i asked them to close my account, there was no retention or anything. They didn't care.

I closed my account and will never deal with them again. You lost me as a customer and I'll be using other forms of credit moving forward.

Defered-interest schemes are rampant Banking corporations lulling retail consumers to sleep with no urgency to pay by embedding bold 0% pictures in your mind while Synchrony & co waits in the shadows with intention of collecting massive amounts north of 35% interest when compounded daily back dated on the full swipe amount from 6 to 48 months old. Sadly they have successfully lobbied Congress to protect them during the last credit card Reform Act vote..

Google the CFPB articles on Deferred-interest.. GET EVERYONE you know to write letters to your congressman is our only hope!!!

"there was no retention"LOL... Reckon you should have paid that $29.00 when you had the chance rather than let it go late. You thought you could just say you're quitting them and they would beg you to stay. They told you what they thought of you and your silly threat. They'll simply move the credit you weren't using to someone else who is silly enough to get caught up in their web without losing a wink of sleep thinking of you.

Post on a public message board, expect a public response. The poster is correct, you cheeks probably still hurt from the experience of not being important enough for a company to grovel to keep you around.Your original post is a great lesson on how an adult Does Not handle a credit card. It's a testament to actually reading and understanding the terms that you must follow regardless of tenure and perceived, self deluded value to a company.

Sorry you're getting these children responding on your adult issue. I've had a similar experience with Synchrony Bank.

Every payment was made on time, but then in January I received a letter saying my refund check would be "sent soon." It never came. In May I called to inquire, got a man than barely spoke English, and he hung up on me. Called back in July and was told they could see the check was never cashed, so a new check would be issued within 60 days. It's been 60 days and I haven't received that check either, so I called again.

This time they claimed that the original check was cashed and they had confirmation (a copy of the signed check) showing it had been cashed, but it was mailed 7.27.2018 and hasn't been received. Seems like when you owe them money they have no problem getting letters to you, but when they owe you money, nothing is ever delivered.

How can I pay you 504 in payments on a 641 purchase and my balance still be at 538....a year later. Robbery inc should be your name. What a joke. Azzhole company and their crap ethics

I have had "Care Credit" for years, long before Synchrony Bank took them over. I had a $1500 limit.

I paid the account off 3 times. I used it for my vet, my dentist and one of my doctor's. The son's of beaches lowered my credit limit to $500. Now they closed the account sent me a letter saying proportion of revolving balances to credit limits too high, proportion of loan balances to loan amounts too high.

Yada yada! They are the ones ruining my credit. I have/had accounts long before they took over: Sam's, Walmart, Care Credit, Discount Tire...all with perfect credit 100% on time payments. Now they have taken over PayPal...if they jack with that account, I will probably get a freaking lawyer.

My credit score is now less than 600 due to those bazzturds. But it shows that I have a 100% on time payments. There are 4 medical bills on it that went to collections, should not have because they were from the company I work for and I pay them through pay roll deduction. I'm sick to death with SYNCHRONY BANK !!!!

They need to be sued!

I will join any law suit against them, any time any day!!! Just let me know when and where!!!

"They need to be sued!"Why should they be sued? It's your fault your credit stinks and they shut you down.

You're playing the ole' raise my credit score by the playing the utilization games. This works right up until credit card companies start to shut you down, leaving with the mess your credit really is.Utilization is only 30% of your score. This means something somewhere else in your portfolio stinks.Rather than play fill my wallet with one use junk cards, you can work to fix your credit for real or simply wait until your late payments and other nonsense falls off.

Until you know what the h..l you're talking about you need to keep your mouth shut and your thoughts to yourself. Actually you can say what you want and I have the same right to say what I want.

My credit is great without them and I'm glad that I am paying them off and will never have anymore dealings with Synchrony Bank except to join into any law suit against them! And you can take that to the bank!

Same happened to me, when Synchrony Bank lowered my credit limit for not using my credit card for six months, resulting in my FICO score decreasing by 19 points. Synchrony Banks karma is coming, they have damaged too many consumers credit and livelihood. They will not last long doing business this way, just as Sears went bankrupt.

Guest

"My credit score is now less than 600 "Your credit score is less than 600 for other reasons than your credit utilization score which is only 30% of your credit score.Let me guess, you have a lot of late payments and other nonsense. You thought you could raise your score by having these store cards and keep it there forever.Works for awhile until you either don't use the cards or they look into your credit portfolio and find out what's going on. After that, they lower your limit and move it to someone else and/or will simply shut you down.

Actually 100% payments and my credit rating is 700 without them. Like said earlier you don't know what the h..l you are talking about. You must work for that crap piece of work, and a young punk that knows everything you have to do everything anonymously...poor baby!

Just kidding. Your life must be so sad that this even gets a second thought. After all, you have a 700 score. It must be terrible to be so old and bitter...
