Wow!! Talk about completely uneducated as to how a credit card works.

Ok let me spell it out for you. This is not your money!! As long as you are carrying a balance they make money. The moment you pay off your card and just hold it they lose money.

They are in the business of making money and you are costing them money by not using the card. So they take away the card and give that credit to someone who will use it and not sit on it. You are a victim of your own making. You chose to pay it off and not use it.

In the paperwork you originally signed they make the statement that they can drop you at any time for any reason and they won’t be contacting you. You did this to yourself yet you seem to think that they are the bad guys because they don’t want to lose money. YOUR financial choices has led you to this point. Accept that you screwed yourself and learn from this.

I would suggest that if a single card being cancelled due to non use is that devistating to you then you need to re-evaluate you financial choices. Maybe just get out of credit cards and live by your means. That is unless you just really enjoy that 23-35% MARK UP on everything you buy with a card. You situation is a use it or lose it.

You didn’t use it so you lost it. If you want to keep a card you have to either make purchases with it or carry a balance.

FRAUDULENT SERVICE PROVIDER

This is my repeated attempt to transfer my matured CD at Synchrony Bank to an external institution. Since July 26, 2017 till present (August 8, 2017), I have yet to believe what Synchrony's has been telling me following repeated 50-80 minutes "hold-on phone calls." Earlier, another manager stipulated that the transfer will be wired on Monday. Today is Monday, when I called I was told that the fund has been transferred to "External Account," but not wired, yet. By calling my receiving institution, the fund was not there. Calling Synchrony Bank back, the same representative denied her statement. When I asked what's that supposed to mean by saying "External Account" I was told they needed time to research that...! Now, you could see my frustration for their made-up vicious circle which I don't know how it's going to end...!!!

This bank is a joke. I have care credit, hhgregg (which went out of business), BP, and rooms to go.

I missed a payment with r2g and they closed it! I liked when it was under ge bank. Both my hhgregg and r2g card was a limit of over $3000 and synchrony took over and cut both amounts in half!

Stay away if you can....not reliable. Also when you want to talk to someone they charge you $10.....beware!

ANOTHER CS REP REOPENED MY ACCOUNT & SAID THEY WILL CONTACT THE CORRECT DEPARTMENT TO REPRIMAND THE CS REP WHO CLOSED MY ACCOUNT. I AM HAPPY AGAIN

They closed my account & said per my request which was a lie I seem to have a lot of problems with my account so when i signed on to pay my statement the site messed up once again. the page was completely blank except the top line with the banks name logout & chat. I tried to sign out but it would not sign me out so I tried chat. I told the cs rep that the page was completely blank and ect.. and he said "I see you are on the update page. all you have to do is update your account & you will be fine" I said "wtf! I said the page is blank!!You do not undertand. I have this problem alot with your site. I may close my account once I pay off my account balance. I will delete my cookies so that will sign me out" A minute later the dumb cs rep comes back and says that I should delete my cookies etc... making it seem like it was his idea the whole time. I was pissed. I said to him "you are useless" and closed chat, deleted cookies and that worked for me to signout. I was able to get back on and pay my statement and then i go back the next day & my account said closed. WTF!!!! it says right on their site the only way to close an account is to CALL customer support. He closed it because he was probably pissed I said he was useless. I filed a bbb (better business bureau) compalint against them

Your better off instantly transferring any ballance to a Discover or Visa to avoid potentially being trapped into $350 deferred-interest on $1,000 charge in 6 months .. Do you realize using non store-branded credit cards you can sometimes get three consecutive years of 0% interest with no retroactive deferred-interest rope around your neck like Synchrony uses. Try Discover or Visa, if you just call up every year & ask for their latest promotions.. Always look for companies that don't promote deferred-interest scams

Do you think people who get these cards have the ability to get "real" credit cards? If they did, they would or would have been smart enough to ignore the cashier's prodding to get a high interest card just to save a few points at the register and get a free candy bar.

Most of these people get cards from this bank to help their credit scores by playing the utilization game. They'e sailing happy until they're shut down and blame the bank.

These games do not work in the long run. The only time it makes sense to do this game is if you're trying to boost your credit on a short term basis to do things like re-fi/buy houses etc.

WARNING TO CARD HOLDERS: I contacted Matt ID# 6415, with Synchrony Bank. He stated that this charge will continue until the entire account balance is paid off.

He cannot even provide the date that this alleged cash advance was issued, because it must have been issued by Citibank before the account was purchased by Synchrony Bank . I do not consider this matter resolved.

Horrible

I pay my bills before the due dates. I applied for a Synchrony credit card in Lens Crafters in the end of April. Synchrony does accept payments twice a month although the payments are much more than what they requested. This is one credit card I will enjoy cutting up.

This dam bank, will put Walmart, and JC Penney out of business. I don't where they get the dam information from. All I know that the information that they came with on me, was totally incorrect, and the FTC should really look into this freakin bank. From one of the customers who gave there remark about what type of people they have answering their calls, are foreigners, is really upsetting. I feel it should be "AMERICAN PEOPLE, THAT WORK AND LIVE THIS THE UNITED STATES!". Shme on, Walmart , JC. Penny , and, other retailers , and, a few other retailers, who don;t give a ***, about, they;re, American customers. They said they would issue me a refund but I doubt they will.
